Pillows, sheets and towels are excellent

I have stayed at Fairlawn a few times for work in the past and have always had a fantastic stay and it was a nice family owned B&B with a comfy bed and great breakfast - this time however, I can only assume it is under new ownership - I stayed for one night and checked in at 4.30pm and left the next day at 7.45am and I did not see a single member of staff. I received copious amounts of emails pre check in to tell me about how to check in but no reception or obvious signs of life. I also booked to stay here again almost solely based on having had a great breakfast here in the past but that has been done away with and you now get fruit, yogurt and some stale pastries! Just don't bother - there are cheaper and better options in Amesbury.

No staff, underwhelming breakfast, incredibly uncomfortable bed, tired, noisy and dated room.

Tv too high on wall. Single room very small. Wi-Fi password??? Breakfast very disappointing- no butter, didn’t bother the second morning. No staff seen except when I arrived.

Eigenlijk hebben we niet echt iets gevonden dat ons echt beviel aan dit hotel. De sfeer en de gezelligheid van het italiaanse restaurant Spuntino op de hoek van de straat heeft een beetje onze pijn kunnen verzachten :-)

Het bed is gewoon heel smal om met 2 comfortabel in te slapen. De kamers worden niet opgemaakt, noch handdoeken ververst tenzij je er misschien zelf zou om vragen, doch hierover werden we zeker niet geïnformeerd. De vuilbak zat na 3 overnachtingen toch wel echt vol. Nieuwe handdoeken zijn we zelf gaan vragen. Het ontbijt stelt echt heel weinig voor (croissant, chocoladebroodje in plastic, yogurt en zeer slappe koffie). Je kan extra toast met scrambled eggs bestellen aan 8 GBP extra per persoon maar bacon konden we daarbij niet krijgen, want dan zou men die nog moeten gaan halen. Om je een voorbeeld te geven, wij aten een volledig en zeer uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet in de Holiday Inn achter de hoek aan 12 GBP per persoon all inclusive. Op vele stoelen in de ontbijtzaal in de kelder lagen nog kruimels van een ontbijtbezoek van enkele voorgangers. Tot slot dus een bijzonder hoge prijs voor een zeer povere kwaliteit. Dit was een éénmalig bezoek.

Camere spaziose, accessoriate e curate. Sala colazioni bellissima. Staff gentile e disponibile.

Ein sehr gutes Bad !Zimmer liebevoll gestaltet. Schlüsselinfo gut!Um Stonehenge zu besuchen, ein gutes Quartier! Früherer Check in war möglich.

Das Frühstück mit Selfservice! Fertiger Kaffee oder Maschine wäre wünschenswert gewesen. Dass wir erst bei Abfahrt jemand von der Leitung angetroffen habe! Telefonisch wäre Kontakt immer möglich gewesen. Keine WLAN Einwahl! Hier wäre eine schriftlicheI Info hilfreich gewesen!

Looked nice from the outside.

We couldn't get in as the check-in process had been changed but none of the guests had been informed (There were three couples trying to check in) Having just completed a 13 mile charity walk in 23° heat, the last thing I wanted to do was sit on a concrete step in full sun, unable to access the property while I waited for Booking.com to try to contact the owner. Booking.com were actually very helpful and processed my refund swiftly after my partner found another hotel with a room available locally. They also agreed to refund the difference in price as the new hotel was more expensive. I hope Fairlawn get the issue sorted asap as the replacement hotel staff were very complementary about the place, which was good of them, and I wouldn't want anyone else experiencing the same problem.

I think they must have upgraded me to a double room as I only booked a single. I was worried I was in the wrong room as there were no staff on the premises to ask. The room was nicely decorated but the bathroom was tiny and dated.

No staff on the premises at night. Felt a little uncomfortable being on my own. Toilet not very clean
