"A convenient and pleasant stay in a lovely town."

Easy to find in its prominent position. Traditional coaching inn. Meal was enjoyable and fairly priced.

Staff in Bistro could have been more attentive, e.g. breakfast needed re-stocking - although we understood that younger staff were very much in training.

Great place to stop on our cycle tour. Staff were really helpful and communicative. Room was comfortable, nice bar area and excellent breakfast. Would definitely recommend.

Location staff all good, very friendly. There was a problem with the hot water as the pump broke down. We were immediately allowed to shower in another room.

Foam mattress, great for most folk but not good if you have issues with your hips. My problem

"A first class experience in a wonderful location"

Food, drink, staff and location all excellent.

Not much, really. The room was in the attic and with many rafters to negotiate it would be easy to bang your head. Not practical to shower owing to lack of space but the bath was good.
