Dalesgate Hotel

We visited the area for friends party nearby. The area is very scenic. Hotel was easy to find but car park is around the back and not noticeable when you arrive. We arrived a little early and were welcomed, check in very easy. Reception was helpful booking a taxi and giving us advice about local amenities. The hotel is a homely BnB. The room was clean, spacious, quiet and a really comfy bed. Refreshments were in the room. We did not use the bar. Breakfast was very tasty with plenty to eat. Scrambled egg was delicious. The staff were lovely. If we're in the area we would happily stay again.

Overall I got what I paid for. Clean and tidy door was locked when i arrived at 430pm. Bar only sold cans of beer nothing on draught. But it was ok

The stay was very good, and I shall use Dalesgate when I need to stay in that area again. Have used Travel Lodge/Premier Inn in the past, but for the same price got a very pleasant room, with a view, and very good breakfast included for the same price! - So other than a "few" stairs to climb it was very good. - Shame I didn't take my computer to make use of the free WiFi.

Clean, comfortable, a bit basic but very friendly staff. Good breakfast, good location, ample off road parking.

Ok but could be a lot better

Friendly helpful staff, Excellent breakfast. Fascinating array of old artifacts & pictures from the area. Quiet location - except for the train hoots, must be some whistle points across the valley. Location great for us (visiting family). We would be very happy to return again. The building is an interesting adaption too, more character than the quick build box buildings of certain common chains .. and you get breakfast included.
