The Bruce Hotel

Everything was great except we were not sure if the shower handle was not working properly for cold water, was stuck on hot water only.

comfortable and clean room, good location, easy to find, excellent and friendly service from management + staff

Comfortable and very clean accommodation, helpful staff, good communication.

Maybe a bit more breakfast choice (e.g. type of eggs) but I think they would have accommodated this if I had asked.

The room was clean but in desperate need of refurbishment. The bath was water stained and grubby looking and there was no hot water

Heating in the bathroom didn’t work and in the bedroom the radiator only partially worked. A small electric fan heater was provided. The breakfast was fried and very oily.

Stayed before, simple but you get what you pay for

This time got a room above the office facing the road, was almost like there was no window at all it was so noisy, cars speeding loud until very late, trucks at 4am, hardly slept. Fine place to stay but I'd make sure you don't get the roadside room

Horrible service and useless staff

Price, breakfast service, hot water.

The room was freezing cold, and it is winter! The heating system was wholely inadequate and switched off much of the time. In the final analysis if a hotel cannot provide the basic human need for warmth then then its owners have failed. I slept fully clothed, fortunately I had outdoor cold weather gear with me. Next time I will pay more and go to a hotel that heats its rooms.
