Unsatisfactory pay and display parking

Lovely comfortable hotel. Great location. Easy walk to sites & shops. Very friendly and helpful staff who enabled us to check in when we arrived early. Would happily stay here again.
Lovely check in staff and bar staff. Room was spotless and comfortable. Great location with everything we needed close by. My only gripe would be that we got allocated an accessible room, which meant bending down for everything in the bathroom (I'm a 6 footer). Can't complain though as it was a late booking using a Rewards Night. Otherwise, a lovely hotel with great staff. Would certainly stay again.
Hotel was central to all Kirkwall attractions. Parking at the weekend was relatively close to hotel. Our room was well equipped and very comfortable, easy to warm up quickly after a day out in cold, wet weather.

No car parking for the property in the centre of Kirkwall but I was signposted to a free long term car park five minutes away. My room was spacious , although I suspect they vary in size, and clean with nice toiletries in the bathroom. Friendly helpful staff. The layout of the hotel was a bit strange and the whole place seemed to lack atmosphere. There is a pub attached to the bar, which again lacked atmosphere and so I went to eat at another one five minutes walk away .
Comfortable and pleasant hotel in a convenient location. Wifi was not brilliant, but I suspect that this is a situation across the Orkneys, and not specific to the hotel.
In alleyway close to bus station and main sights. Clean cosy room, good breakfast. With bar, wasn't noisy. Pricey but it was peak rate, Orkney Festival, with most of town sold out.
