Brilliant room, great view and clean. Water bottle was welcome touch for those of us who don't drink hot drinks. Only negative was the bed was a bit lumpy, but nothing to stop me sleeping.
Love this hotel! Its location near the harbor and right by the main restaurants and sites in Kirkwall is really convenient and safe - with fun things to do all around. The staff were all very pleasant and the pub and restaurant were nice.
It was a standard and convenient hotel. The bed was comfortable and it was fairly quiet. No parking outside but we were able to park up close to drop off our bags. Long stay parking wasn't far but quite busy in May so will only get busier during summer months.

Nice hotel in the centre of Kirkwall. Street parking was easy enough and you didn't have to pay overnight. The room was far too warm with all of the heaters on full-blast which was not very eco-friendly. We turned all of them off. The hotel restaurant was nice with good grub. The room was comfy although a little dated. We had a few drinks in the Bothy bar but didn't feel very welcome, the bar staff didn't seem keen to serve us. We wanted to try some local whisky, but felt like we were a nuisance for asking. It probably would have been fine if we'd just gone into the bar for a beer!
The property was well located within walking distance of shopping and the harbour. We ate at the restaurant for our evening meals, and the food was good. I had the local scallops, and they were the best scallops I have ever had. We had continental breakfast at the hotel and there was a nice variety for breakfast including boiled eggs, and local cheese. The bed was really uncomfortable, and I slept with my head lower than my feet as it slopped down. The pillows were hard. We felt the property was not great value for the amount we paid. As accommodation is hard to find in Kirkwall, this means the cost of a night's accommodation is more expensive. We paid 200 pound per night for a couple, and this did not include breakfast. The breakfast was an extra 13 pound per person.

The hotel was absolutely lovely.
I arrived late for checkin-in but everything was left out for me so it was super quick and easy to get into my room after a long journey, which was great! Room was clean and in a really good condition. Bed was very comfortable. The shower was amazing! Very powerful and hot.
