Being right in the centre of Hay

Needing to rearrange furniture (armchairs tucked in behind bed, under low ceiling bit, unable to watch TV from there. On moving the beds finding loads of thick dust underneath plus empty soap bottle from previous guests. TV screen to low to see properly and above extra screen not working at all in spite of staff trying. TV not working as reception unbearably disturbed. Toilet only flushing properly about every second time. Finding biscuit and bag of drink inside a cup which had an inch of water in it. Reluctance on choice of seating at breakfast, toast burning in in toaster.

Very central to where I wanted to be - very quiet - shower good

Dust under the bed - yoghurt provided - no spoon - had to say I was vegetarian about 4 times to different members of staff - communication between them poor - I called at the beginning of the week to say I would be arriving late but again I had 3 messages wondering where I was - when I went down for breakfast greeted with you’ve got a customer - breakfast was poor quality very basic for the price - no one offered to help me bring down my bags - 3 people watched me make 2 trips

Very creaky bed. Disturbed sleep. Poor shower doors Quirky mix of very old property and modern white LEDs?

Very well managed. Room very clean. Staff very helpful and welcoming. Very good breakfast
