The property is located conveniently close to the exit-roads and nearby the trams to the cities. A short walk will get you to a tram station. At the front desk you can obtain tickets for the tram and generally speaking the staff is nice. The disappointing thing is I reviewed the several options in the area and decided for this hotel as it boasts a gym, sauna and activity room for the kids. The site however does not mention the gym opens at 7 and you have to pay an additional fee to use the installations (I left the hotel around 7, so no use for the gym / sauna). The activity room had disappeared and no alternatives were offered. I have requested the hotel to get back to me on this, yet to no avail. The continuous presentation of the hotel on the TV in the lobby still shows the activity room, clearly misinforming the guests.

It was very busy and the receptionist was rather slow checking us in. The hotel is served by good public transport links and the area is quiet. It was 35 C outside but the room was lovely and cool with the window open and the air conditioning off.

Reasonable and clean hotel ,

Very pleasant experience. Check in and check out was smooth and hassle free. Room was very clear and had everything we needed. The cleaning lady was super friendly and great with our kids which made us very happy. The Pier and seaside is only a few stops away by tram and the tram stop is like 4mins walk away so very ideal. Only downside is there isn't much to do near the hotel and not many places to eat unless you go towards the centre or towards the beachside.

Staff at this hotel go above and beyond normal expectations. Truly excellent.

Room grand, bar lobby a tad basic

This is really a great place to stay -- excellent location, extremely friendly and helpful staff, great views from the room. Excellent transport links nearby and very well placed for shopping and browsing, as well as walking distance from many places of interest. BUT (and this is a big BUT), breakfasts were not included and they were horrendously expensive, especially in my case as I only need tea and toast in the morning, and maybe a bit of cereal. Paying nearly 20 Euros for this privilege, because I wasn't up to walking to a cafe in the freezing morning cold felt really unfair. There should be a way one could get a simple Continental breakfast without paying so much. Otherwise, this is a really great place to stay. Oh, and, we just loved the lifts with their glass backs and breathtaking views of the city!

Great room. Fridge, safe, etc. On room definitely 5 stars. Location not so good. In ugly busy road of high rise hotels with nothing except a museum in walking distance. Trams 1 and 16 get you everywhere you need to go. Biggest gripe having to pay extra €10 every time you visit gym in basement.
