"A very nice short break at a comfortable and welcoming guest house."

Very good breakfast in spacious breakfast room. Well appointed bedroom. Bus stops nearby and only a short walk to the bus interchange for buses to Coniston, Great Langdale, Grasmere etc. Despite being on the main road, the location was quiet.

"Great B and B, I would highly recommend."

Steve and Tina were very friendly and made us feel really welcome. Great atmosphere and accommodation, the breakfasts were delicious, just the start needed to complete the Helvellyn climb. Clean room with everything that you would need.

I really can’t find anything negative to say.

Fabulous location, 10 min walk into the town. Big garden centre opposite the guest house. Staff very welcoming, breakfast was great also.

Breakfast was exceptional, well cooked with a completely varied menu of choice Location for all ventures, were perfect Room and facilities clean and fresh Tina & Steve were sooo helpful and knowledgably for advice Thoroughly recommended as a place to stay
