Grosvenor Place Guest House

Friendly and welcoming. The only remaining guest house within the old city walls. Accessible for city sites, but Very quiet lane for sleeping. Handy free parking nearby after 3pm. Would stay again.

Location, location, location! Very centrally located, easy to find. 20 min walk from the station. Friendly owners. Chilled water and milk provided in the fridge, along with a fan for the very warm temperatures. Room 2 very reasonably sized for an English guest house. Shower pressure good, and instant hot water. You get your own front door key for after hours, and there is a drop box if you leave early.

Bathroom in room 2 is narrow and may be a challenge if you are super tall or wide!. Generally the room (bed and bath) was very clean, but there were signs of damp in the grout in the bathroom. It was very warm when I visited, and only one window opened a few inches, but the fan was gratefully appreciated!

The hotel surpassed all my expectations! The staff was welcoming and accommodating. The room is nice and clean, I will certainly return during my next visit!

Great location near facilities. Basic clean , comfortable room. Staff very accommodating of my leaving luggage early.

My room was very hot and airless. Window didn’t open much. Had a welcome fan but difficult to sleep in heat.
