Grosvenor Place Guest House

The staff was very quick to respond to my inquiries through Booking.com. The location is quite close to most everything I wanted to do, downtown, walking the wall, the river, Roman ruins, and the horse track. A grocery store is close to the hotel and also a few pubs. It’s about 12-15 minutes walk from the rail station.

I was in the first room, a smaller room. This room has a small shower, difficult to turn around in. I also couldn’t find the thermostat and was cold for most of the stay, especially in the evenings.

Calm et clean guest house, great location, friendly staff or owner. Milk in the fridge.

Great location, central, and close to St Mary's (handy for a gig). Lovely room, ground floor (room 6) but I didn't mind. It was Thursday, so fairly quiet. Really comfortable bed, plenty of space, a little fridge with bottled water and milk. Bathroom is small, but nice. Towels were actually big enough, which is a bonus! (Also pretty rare!)

The shower cubicle is very small, but the shower itself is lovely, so I couldn't really complain.
