"Lovely traditional hotel"

We had an ocean view room. The view from the room was amazing. Breakfast was great, full of options. Location was great, a bit off the center (if there is any center in Funchal) which means it was less hectic and busy in the area, plenty of restaurants around, still walking distance to other parts of Funchal which tourists normally would be interested in or a short taxi ride.

On booking it says fitness center which rather means space for classes with spinning bikes, 2kg/3kg weights but there is no gym. For a five star hotel you would expect at least a full rack of weights.

Das Personal war jederzeit sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Außerdem befindet sich das Hotel direkt am Meer. Zwar kein Strand aber ein wunderschöner und entschleunigender Blick.
