Meliá Madeira Mare

We have had an excellent stay at this hotel in Madeira. While some aspects of the décor are a little dated, it actually adds a certain character and personality that many modern hotels lack. The artwork displayed throughout the building has been thoughtfully chosen and helps create a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The hotel excels in the details. The soft, luxurious towels and robes, the Rituals toiletries in the rooms, the beautifully refreshing pool temperature, and the comfortable sun beds all contribute to a feeling of understated luxury. The relaxed ambience makes it very easy to switch off and enjoy your holiday. Breakfast is a highlight, with an extensive selection that includes plenty of fresh local island flavours. It was one of the best hotel breakfasts we have experienced. What really sets this hotel apart, however, is the exceptional service. A special mention goes to Lenine, who noticed that my daughter liked to refill her water bottle and kindly brought her fresh cold water every day without being asked. It was such a thoughtful gesture and perfectly captures the attentive, personal service we received throughout our stay. This is a hotel that understands that great hospitality is about making guests feel genuinely cared for. We would happily return and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Madeira.

Fijne kamer, goed bed, heerlijk ontbijt! Vanaf het balkon mooi uitzicht op zee. Ik had een verrekijker bij me en heb zelfs walvissen gezien vanaf het balkon!

Everything was perfect. I loved the hotel, and the location is only 10 minutes away from the restaurants nearby. Also, if you are planning to do hikes, the hotel is ideally located in the middle of the island, so the drive to both the north and south is a maximum of one hour One point to add , free parking space provided by the hotel
