"Fantastic small hotel with spacious rooms"

Lovely quiet location. Spacious rooms with excellent facilities and comfortable bed. Lovely breakfast with good ingredients. Can get through to the steam train station at end of grounds. Used to be the station Hotel. Lots of history. The lady running this was also lovely and very efficient. Ample parking.

I have stayed at The Moorlands on previous occasions. It is in a lovely setting, very friendly, comfortable and relaxed. The owners are very friendly and helpful, but leave you in peace to enjoy your precious time away.

"Enjoyable"

Spacious

The apartment was part of a old property & was located to the rear of the main house. This facilitated some damp & it did feel musty. It was fine given the weather was so sunny & warm. The apartment was beautifully clean though ! My recommendation would be to provide some improved kitchenware ,crockery & some glassware - an easy & cheap way to improve the experience ( in my humble opinion). Daisy was so a very helpful & charming.
