Sleep Inn & Suites Hobbs

When we checked in, we had to wait a long time and the lady was short and didn't give us any information. The room stunk like dirty dog. I had a tick get on me when I sat on the couch. Room was supposed to be sound proof but we had a baby next door crying all hours. Room was not as pictured. Alot of items in the room were broken or missing. The tv infront of the couch wouldn't work, it said no signal. The elevator was HOT. If you wanted in the pool area you had to get the front desk person to let you in. When we complained the next day, to the same staff member who had checked us in the previous day said she couldn't do anything about it and we would have to talk to the manager the next day. That was the day we were leaving so what was the point? We will not be back.

Upon arrival, we checked in and received our room keys as normal. We tried to get into our room and as we opened the door noticed all the lights were on, tv was blaring,trash bags throughout, and the beds were stripped. We went back down and told them we believe our room may be occupied. The front desk seemed to not believe us and asked if we saw luggage. I told her that we saw what looked like an occupied room and just left. She tried reaching out to her manager who didnt answer her calls for several minutes. We were told we couldnt have another room due to be overbooked. The manager finally answered her call and told the front desk to look at the room herself. She went and looked and told the manager that housekeeping left the room a mess and would need a deep cleaning. It took another 15 minutes of manager calling housekeeping to figure out what happens next. The manager said she was going to get to the hotel and never did. She made the front desk handle everything as if she just didnt want to be bothered. We were told it would take 20 minutes to clean the room. We finally got into our room which had a very strange smell. The rooms are very old and outdated. The hot water was non existent in the mornings. The walls are super thin and can hear everything in the hotel. I will say the beds are comfortable.
