Central Phoenix Hotel

Nice stay, friendly desk help, liked the frig and microwave, and the balcony thay was twice the width of the room. Very close to Orpheum Theatre for a Kraftwerk show.

It took the front desk manager 10 to 15 minutes to even show up at the front desk to check me in. I rang the doorbell. I went to speak to staff. he was nowhere to be found for over 10 minutes. No wifi info provided. When I returned to get the Wi-Fi only an hour later, once again there was no one at the front desk I waited 5 minutes and didn't weigh any longer just went back to my room without the Wi-Fi info.

Nice clean bedding, but the frig is a kind of noisy and the TV doesn't work.

The room we were in was pretty noisy being right across from a concert venue on a main road but we just left the TV on overnight. The room was clean enough minus the toilet seat could have used a bit of help. We felt safe in the area - fire station across the street, sheriff’s dept nearby... Overall our 1 night stay was just fine.

My stay was good for the most part aside from the fact I felt like my life was on the line given the area it is in (but I guess you reap what you sow when you book). My critique was it wasn’t exactly made clear where continental breakfast was at if there was even offered (I saw it on the central phoenix sign but didn’t know where it would be at). Other than that, good for what I needed

The stay was good. We arrived late due to Los Angeles traffic and they were courteous enough to call us to make sure we were still coming, and not canceling our reservation. That was very thoughtful. King bed room was huge, we were surprised about that. Yes we would stay again.

The associate who checked us in was awesome! The room was a bit worn down - paint peeling in the bathroom, AC unit was confusing and looked worn. There was some mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. We asked that it be cleaned on one day but within 24 hours nothing was done. We asked a different employee the next day and when we came back to the room it was done, so 2 out of 3 staff people were really great! The hotel should have been 1 or 2 stars - no gym, no breakfast. It was sufficiently clean that my wife was willing to stay, but she did make me promise that we would never stay in a place like this again.

What you would expect from a cheap motel downtown. The staff were all very nice but the rooms and property itself was old and worn. The tv didn’t really work(there was a black line down the center and would static out several times on live TV). The bathroom/shower is very small and old. There is a music venue across the street so there was sound most of the night but not to the point that you can’t sleep. It’s not a 5 star hotel by any means but if you just need a place to sleep near the convention center it does the job.

I got the impression this hotel was family owned and/or operated. We had issues with our tv and 2 teenage girls came in to see what the problem was and got assistance via phone but could not grt it working. 2 days later, a technician came in to fix the issue and tv then worked as it should. Room cleanliness was ok. There was dirt/hair at the rear of the base of the bathroom sink pedestal. Other than that, the rest if the room was fine. Beds made and new towels daily. Staff was courteous, very willing to assist. Not used to a downtown atmosphere so this was a litle strange.

No continental breakfast as advertised! Room needed major repairs! Horrible!
