"Wanted cheap accommodation for a three-day break"

6.0

Plus points: Staff were pleasant, room was warm, off-peak cost was low, perfect walking distance for Big Tesco + shops, beach and Hove town, breakfast was good and plentiful. Negatives: Generally a bit dated and shabby, hooks missing, bulbs gone, towels shredded and needed replacing, shower gel/conditioner containers broken and had not been filled up in a while. Would NOT have been happy at un-discounted rate but it did the job.

"Awful"

This was awful. The room stunk of fried food and the toilet was tiny

"Brighton belle"

10.0

I was pleasantly surprised with this accommodation, central and close to shops and resturants. Clean and tidy and I must say I would be tempted to stay in this type of accommodation when staying in Brighton. Breakfast yummy, friendly staff and no hassle check- in, if there a issue it would be parking!!! But overall give it a go

"Nice and clean, good breakfast!"

8.0

Overall very good. A modest guest house with prices to match. Positives: Clean room Crisp bedsheets Shower worked well Friendly helpful staff Good breakfast V close to beach, boutique shops round the corner, massive Tesco close by Negatives (very minor stuff): Breakfast room was a little chilly (easily solved with a jumper) Some fittings (e.g. recessed ceiling lights) look like they were done by cowboys...but still worked

"convenient and clean"

8.0

hotel was clean and comfortable. we stayed in a room on the second floor which made it a bit hot and stuffy as the weather was hot (not complaining) , an electric fan was provided. Enjoyed being able to use a fridge to keep drinks cool. it didn't make a noise. breakfast was very good and staff were friendly. i liked that we were only about a 30 minute walk from the centre of Brighton. Didn't discover much in Hove, however there is a nice pub at the end of the street if you don't wantgp too far, they serve good food

"Good location and a resident seagull!"

6.0

We booked a small double room and it was decidedly cosy, especially the toilet/shower room! Perfectly adequate however, and the advantage of having a window facing the back garden was being entertained by the resident seagull ( we named him Sid) who steadfastly loitered by the back door waiting for his breakfast, every day. Parking was on the street, and the manager quickly sorted us out with the necessary permits (£5 a day) to cover us for the time we would be staying. As previously reported, the room was small, but was fine for the 2 days we needed it. Who goes to Brighton at the height of the holiday season to sit in a room? Mattress wasn't particularly comfortable, but we slept fairly well. Breakfast was good, as Sid the seagull would agree! The hotel is located in Hove which is about a 15/20 minute walk from Brighton. It has it's own charm and we were a minute or two away from the seafront.

"Disappointing."

4.0

Good breakfast and friendly staff, but everything else disappointing. The only thing that reflects 4 stars is the price. Way too high for what's on offer. Tired furnishings, broken bedstead and cracked tiles didn't help.

"Great Hove experience"

10.0

We managed to park our car directly outside as the hotel provided the necessary permits. Service was excellent and room really nice. Good shower and great breakfast.
