Lovely people, good food, comfortable room.

A small shower cubicle, needs a lick of paint.

The staff are so welcoming and friendly and the food is amazing. The new decor in the Breakfast room looks lovely and fresh and the room we were in, room 1 has also been freshened up. 😍

Property needed a lot of attention, room clean, however bathroom needed complete refurbish

Good location which suited us at the time, food was good value and staff very pleasant.

Room could do with a spruce up (number one) but overall no complaints.

The accommodation was excellent value for money. Like some people mentioned it was dated and needed a refurb. However it was comfortable, the evening meal and breakfasts were excellent and the staff were lovely. Would definitely go again.

The shower wasn't the easiest to get in and out of but was adequate.

I Stayed in room 6 ,I was over the Kitchen ,So had the noise of the fan till 8 30 ish .Otherwise ok

WiFi was week and slow in upstairs room

We were walking the Yorkshire Wolds and had to get a couple of buses to get here as we couldn’t find anywhere nearer on the path. We stayed on a Wednesday night in May. The pub is lovely and the room was basic but clean and good for us. Nice shower room too. Yes you can hear people downstairs in the pub but it wasn’t loud and we slept fine in the comfy bed. We had a cooked full English breakfast and scrambled eggs on toast and they were great! The staff were lovely and kindly gave me a pack up of the fruit I wanted for breakfast. The eve meal was absolutely delicious! We had the chicken pie and the pork sausages meal and we loved them both. The jam roll poly and custard was the best I have ever tasted - good old fashioned traditional pudding! Great value for money and well worth the trip here off the route! The evening staff were very friendly too. We would highly recommend this place for an overnight stay and definitely eating here! Thank you

It was great value for money with breakfast thrown in you can’t complain!
