The Market House

Great location for our visit, comfy well equipped room with a great view of the Tor.

The shower cubical is a little tired but we mentioned this to the staff and they said the property was under new management and they would look into it.

The location is amazing, close to everything. The staff are incredible, so friendly, helpful and nothing is too much trouble

Location

Loud music till Late Banging doors all night No toilet roll in room and no staff on site to ask Dinner orders closed earlier than we were told leaving us with nothing to eat. Walls so thin that thought people on landing were in room Tv didnt work Paid £30 for breakfast but never seen such a limited continental before. Would never have paid for that if had realised what was going to be offered.

Stayed there before too as it’s a fantastic location for everything. The staff are really helpful and friendly too. Love it and will stay again without a doubt.

We can honestly say the only thing that was a slight problem was getting blocked in the carpark at the back, but we told staff and they were able to sort that straight away.

Sehr familiäre und entspannte Stimmung innerhalb des Lokals und des Personals untereinander, sehr zuvorkommendes und humorvolles Personal, Frühstück war super mit vegetarischer Variante, sehr zentrale Lage und leichte Ereichbarkeit von Läden und Sehenswürdigkeiten

Teilweise kleine Portionen für relativ teure Gerichte (Hauptspeisen betreffend)

The manager and staff were very helpful and accommodating with our requests e.g. for fresh milk and cold storage and we liked the overall relaxed atmosphere. The room had a view of the Tor and a little of the Abbey and had a place to write.

We struggle in most hotels and inns with the weight of bed coverings. The fan in the bathroom did not seem to be working. Our visit was ill-timed to coincide with a karaoke night, which went on a little later than scheduled.
