The Market House

Fantastic stay! Perfect location in the heart of town with amazing views of Glastonbury Abbey and the Tor. The room was spacious and the bed super comfy. The bathroom’s a little dated, but everything was clean and comfortable. It’s a pub, so it can be lively in the evenings, but that’s part of the charm. Lovely staff – I’d happily stay again!

Clean and tidy room with acceptable facilities.

Food wasn't great, for me ir wasn't even on a par with decent pub grub. And the bloidy fire alarm went off just after we got to sleep at 11. Even though there was no live music or karaoke it was excessively loud, yes I know it's a pub but still, way too loud for us.

I arrived on a Thursday when they had Open Mic night. It was incredibly noisy, my room was just above it, the bass was just reverberating in the floor and the whole room (not at all nice for my migraine). Difficult to understand why they rent out rooms at all (or why they have live music. They certainly don't go together). I'm just eternally grateful that I wasn't there on Friday night when they have Karaoke, or the weekend when it lasts even longer!

Perfect location in the centre of town, parking out the back of the pub or if thats full there's a council carpark across the road. Easy walk to Glastonbury tor path, bit harder walk up the tor ! Really friendly staff. They do tell you on booking about the weekend live music. We were there on a Friday, which was karaoke night! Very loud till about 11 pm. Breakfast was good.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They accommodated us by making take away breakfast boxes because we had to leave early. Typical pub/inn with typical pub food. Under new management, so they were adjusting. The location was perfect, right in town and we got there early enough to get parking on site.
