"Best Mountain Resort in Mexico. Needs better staff"

10.0

We went as a family getaway for 2 days. Monterreal is always very nice and it's the most comfortable place you'll find in the mountains of Arteaga. No complains about the quality of the facilities, food or activities; everything has a premium charge and nothing is included, which could be a bit expensive. The worst part was that Check-in is posted at 3PM (which I believe is very late for a place like this) but our room wasn't ready until ~5PM! Then the next day we had people looking for us at the Golf course to "push" us out exactly at 12 PM on the spot... this is incoherent. But we had a great time and will definitely come back.

"Family weekend among pines, birds and glorious sun."

6.0

I came here with my family made up of elders, children and young adults. The cabin was large enough for fourteen people. This is my second trip to Monterreal and the better one. Our first time we had a smaller cabin in the hotel side of the resort which is what you can rent if you do not have membership. My nice is a member now and we were able to use a larger cabin up in the mountain overlooking the hotel part of the resort. I love the quietness, smells and variety of birds you encounter. Hiking is a little hard because of the steep climbs but invigorating and doable (my 75 year old mom did a bit of hiking as well). The pool area was too hot because windows and doors were kept closed but I am sure the management can quickly solve that. The bar had only light beer and a limited selection of drinks.

"Great weekend getaway"

8.0

Spent one night in Monterreal and had a wonderful experience. Staff was extremely friendly. Our room was perfect: big, comfortable bed, ultra-quiet, extremely clean. We had breakfast and dinner in the restaurant; both were wonderful. Bosquest de Monterreal is an excellent resort. It's about 1.5 hour drive from Monterrey. It's situated in the mountains. Definitely a place to see if you're in the Monterrey area.

"Great Oasis at the end of my run"

10.0

Great altitud for any sport, mountain biking, running, cycling, horse back riding, skiing, etc. I didn't sleep there but the chalets look fantastic. I only ate and I wished I would've tried the ski lift. The restaurant is located in a great location with an excellent view. they didn't have much variety but the quality of the food was great.

"Nice Hotel...terrible Noisy Disco Night"

8.0

Nice hotel with lot of things to do. Bed is very uncomfortable and Saturday Disco Night is very noisy. I did not expect to have this type of noisy night in a place like this where you want to rest and enjoy nature.

"So close to nature, so close to the city!"

8.0

These wonderful cabins are situated 1:30hr from Monterrey City and the access is extremely easy. You only take the toll highway to Saltillo, then Matehuala, follow the sign to San Antonio de las Alazanas and you are almost there! I spent last week there in a cabin for 12 people. It was a family weekend and nothing could have been better. The cabin was very comfortable, spacious and clean. Complete kitchen, fireplace with wood included, 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, living room, outdoor space for children to play... The staff was extremely friendly... From the front desk clerk to the cleaning maid to the restaurant waiter... all the personnel working there really made me feel good. They offer some attractions like horse riding, snowboarding (in artificial snow), skiing, a restaurant with a beautiful view and delicious food, climatized pool, etc... Except for the pool, the rates for these attractions are a littlet bit expensive. The place is much colder at nights, so take a good jacket with you. And take a time to watch the starry sky at night... Breathtaking! You can go one day and know the place without staying. You only pay $250 pesos at the entrance and they are refundable in the attractions or restaurante. If you live in Monterrey or nearby cities, you should try this place... As I mentioned before, it is a little expensive but worths what you pay.

"Very romantic ambiance. Superbe views ¡"

8.0

Lovely place in a fantastic landscape. The only problem due to a furios wind: The light went out and all sort of problems arrived (no hot water and very limited view in the room), except for the fireplace).
