Friendly bar staff

No evening meals or breakfast available due to a problem with an extraction fan. Ordered pizza the first night. Tea and toast would have been fine for breakfast but nothing offered.

The room and ensuite were spot on. However one of the reasons we booked this property is because it had a pub attached to it. On the Friday night we had two lovely meals there and were already looking forward to eating there again on the Saturday however when I popped into the pub they said the chef was not in and they were not serving food! So we went elsewhere. The same thing happened on the Sunday, after I ran the Eden Project half marathon and no food was being served yet again. Had I known I would have booked elsewhere. The property is very dog friendly but could do with a waste bin outside for the dog poo. We liked the outdoor booths and the pub/hotel seemed to mainly cater for a younger crowd.

See above lack of food being served and the wifi was totally non existent and not up to speed.

The staff were friendly, the bed was comfy, plenty of hot water for a bath and lots of good beers on tap.

There was no dinner or breakfast available at the property. It was a bit of a walk on a dark night to find somewhere to eat.

Nice comfy room on the quiet end... we could hear the band playing Saturday night, but barely. Convenient to the train station

Lack of food. If we could even have had one meal I would give it a 10, but options are slim in Par and the fish and chips we had Ubered in were terrible.

They were not doing food at all during our stay and the pub is a bit rough and was a bit noisy, but overall was good

Breakfast was excellent - very tasty sausages, fres mushrooms and eggs cooked just right. The location was perfect for a stop-off when travelling by train. Overall good value.
