Villa storica.

La villa è bella, e la camera anche. L'accoglienza non lo è. Il check-in è alle ore 4pm. Sono arrivata alle 3:56pm, e la signora mi ha detto che avevano un evento in corso e dovevo aspettare fuori in giardino. Avrebbe potuto avvisarmi prima del mio arrivo... ho comunque aspettato in giardino. La signora più di una volta mi ha chiesto in tono scortese se capivo quando parlava perchè sono italiana: non molto gentile! In più ha fatto tutto un discorso dicendo che ci sono persone che sono come quadrati mentre lei è un cerchio, e se soggiornano nel suo b&b, devono diventare dei cerchi e adeguarsi a lei: questa sarebbe accoglienza? Pensavo che fosse lei a dover accogliere, non gli ospiti paganti a doversi adeguare ai suoi modi. Il marito invece è stato sempre molto gentile, e cucina molto bene. Il WiFi non funziona bene.

The mansion was lovingly restored and decorated from a set of apartments by Rick & Laura Sue years ago now. It’s absolutely stunning and I felt like I stepped back in time as I entered the front door!!

I can honestly say there was nothing didn’t like! It’s simply a wonderful place run by warm and welcoming owners!

Nothing

Host was overbearing and rude. Walls were peeling in room. Ants were crawling on the table at breakfast, and host said, "Have you not seen ants before." Coffee was terrible, and food was not appetizing, especially after swiping ants away from our plates.

I felt they weren't honest and didn't give me the room that I had booked months in advanced. True I ended up having a busy weekend and traveled alone, due to circumstances beyond my control. Although, being told your alone and you should just stay in this dinky room instead was rude and dishonest to me. That should not have changed, my room I paid/booked for because of it. I booked a double room, not a double bed. They also complained about paying something like a 20% commission on a advertising I assume they work with, booking.com to me, that I booked through ect. The first 10 minutes I arrived. Something I honestly didn't need to hear or know or my concern. I felt as if they weren't professional or in a bad mood not sure. They didn't have any of my information either. I also didn't want to sit in a parlor and talk about food/menus the minute I walked in after a long drive. Normal to them apparently, but inconsiderate and leaving you feel you had to give your time and energy too. Which I didn't have at the time. As far as parking, they said I would have a spot in the back and would move another car that was already there etc. Was showed this specific spot and car they would move. Went out for a couple of hours with my son, came back and the spot was still occupied. Leaving me unsure where to park after, when I came back. As it was pointed out of importance, that was the spot to be in. Went in to justify the room business and got the sorry but we're not giving you the room you booked, because your staying alone ect and they are full for the weekend. Just decided I really didn't feel comfortable there and left. I had stayed there a few years ago, and the room I booked again because I felt it was decent. The stay seemed fine then, yet not this time around. Downhill in my opinion, felt they were rude and tmi on their personal business. It was stressful to me and not relaxing one bit.

Everything was great! Room, owner's and breakfast all incredible. Would definitely recommend!

Breakfast was good. Bed was comfortable. Parking was convenient.

Host was a little odd. Wanted me to call her my first night, which I completely forgot about. Then told me she waited up until midnight for me to call her. She said it was to check me in, but it was really to find out what I wanted for breakfast. Weird. Linens need a refresh, but i understand why owner may not want to purchase new linens when they’re about to sell. Coffee was like dishwater.
