"A real home from home run by the best hosts possible."

Our hosts Patrick and Theresa were absolutely brilliant. Friendly and so helpful, even preparing a supper for my wife when we were late home one evening! The house is a maze of rooms all very quirky and the garden is beautiful. Parking is plentiful and secure off road and you are perfectly placed to explore ghe local area.

I think the kitchen is being renovated so a cooked breakfast is not available at the moment but tbh the variety of continental style food on offer more than compensates and Theresa is more than happy to offer more even including homemade smoothies!

"A wonderful stay in an historic and beautiful hotel."

Breakfast , which was continental,was varied and delicious. Fresh bread, fruit, cheeses, dips and cereal, even offered scrambled eggs for our 2 dog's..

Car parking limited on site but safe parking in lane outside.

"Exceptional"

Complimentary breakfast was exceptional. Nothing was too much for the house. They have renovated a beautiful old house. It's stunning. Great location for venturing out to different city's. Wells is just beautiful. Bedroom is stunning. The owners have a flare for vintage decor.

Very loud creaky floors. It's an old house.

Great location. Well maintained and clean. Beautiful garden. Maryanne was so lovely couldn’t have asked for a better host. Above and beyond to make our stay very comfortable. Great fresh continental breakfast in the morning aswell. If I go back to Somerset I shall be staying in this property again.

"Amazing"

We had an amazing couple of nights at Bowlish House. Everything in the property was beautiful and has a relaxing atmosphere. Maryanne the host went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We will definitely be having a return visit

"Exceptional"

Mary Anne was an exceptional host. Nothing was too much trouble. A drink on arrival and informative about what was going on in the local area. Evening room where you could socialise and have a drink. Tea and coffee making facilities are available from the dining room at all times. Enjoyable stay. Pub opposite availiable for evening meals.

"Very comfortable and fun stay with an amazing host who went out of her way to make us feel at home."

Really friendly and accommodating host. Beautiful house and garden. Flexible breakfast time.

For the price, it would be good if the rooms were made up each day, and towels replaced.

Maryanne and Mark were excellent hosts more than you would expect especially as we did not book breakfast but they made sure we had a complimentary breakfast before we went out for the day
