Caledonia Guest House

Easy to get into town, about 2-5min walk away. Easy to locate on map and lovely owners on arrival.

Wifi didn't work, springs in bed seem low but overall it didn't effect sleeping.

Very well situated. Close to the city centre, Plymouth Hoe and the Barbican. Stayed an extra night, to experience more of my visit to Plymouth. The owners, Jeffrey and Maria were very pleasant and welcoming.

Can not think of anything.

Very friendly and helpful hosts, showed me to my room and helped to carry any bags I had as I was overloaded with work bags and following a recent knee operation. We had a nice general chat, I was also shown the parking arrangements to avoid any confusion so this was really helpful. The facilities excellent with tea and coffee in the room, with biscuits, the hotel clean and tidy, including the room, great value for money and an excellent location, so overall a great experience and I will return on my next visit.

Everything's great

The power socket was in an awkward position, I had to move my bed to access it.

I struggle to fault the 'Caledonia' in Plymouth. Everything was clean and tidy, the room was large enough for myself, the en suite bathroom was ample. The landlord was courteous and gave good advice about where go for a bit of socialising. He was also honest about the town centre. The Caledonia is very close to the 'Plymouth Hoe' and there was off road parking. All in all a decent night's stay.

Great customer service

I booked to stay at this guest house for 2 nights with my 13 yo son. When we arrived, I immediately felt uncomfortable. The hotel was dark, dingy, very tired, dirty overall and was smelly. I tried to be diplomatic and respectful to the owner when I said I couldn't stay and asked for a refund, but he completely dismissed me and was aggressive. He refused to refund any of my money even though I had to stay elsewhere. Booking.com didn't help either. I would avoid this hotel at all costs.
