The price was right .

Room was very dull and needed refreshing .toiletries were half full, mismatched towels no hand towel .also why are pair of weighing scales in bathroom ?. tea coffee wasnt replenished ( 2 night stay ) had to go to bar to ask . We didn't eat at hotel so can not comment on food If you don't want luxury its ok .

Convenient location, comfortable accommodation and friendly staff.

The accommodation had not been notified that we were bringing a dog but offered to move us to a larger room.

We stayed Friday 5th September to Sunday 7th September as we were attending a wedding. From entering the building for check in on Friday evening to leaving on Sunday morning the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We stayed in the pumpkin room, which was spacious and had a great walk in shower, which had plenty of hot water and the water pressure was perfect throughout. The bed and pillows were a little softer than we liked, but that is simply a preference and didn't spoil our stay or sleep. We had a meal on the Friday evening, which was really good value. Saturday morning we came down for breakfast and again were met with very friendly team members. There is a good variety of breakfast items, my partner went for an English breakfast, which was excellent and I had poached eggs, with avocado on toast and I have to say the eggs were perfect. If we are ever in the area again we would definitely stay at the Royal Forrester.

I liked the homely effect of staying here. Feel the natural warmth where I could just relax and unwind and experience the real feel of comfort and peace. Being in the countryside the inn was a great place to be and at the same time not to far from the nearest town . I liked the layout and the social activities especially on a Friday evening with folk songs being sung . The bed was nice and comfortable and clean and had good bathroom facilities.

The dinner prices I thought were rather pricy
