Royal Forester Country Inn

Highlight of the property has to be the restaurant. The dinner menu was excellent and the food fulfilled the promise. Similarly there were plenty of options on the breakfast menu, also well cooked and presented. The room was a decent size, with the usual tea and coffee facilities, TV and good sized en-suite. For the price paid the experience was very good

The bedrooms could do with double glazing to cut down on traffic noise from the adjacent main road.

The kitchen had closed when we arrived at 17:00 so unable to have a meal. The room was cold, so had to ask for the heating to be put on. It lasted for an hour and was then turned off. We requested a 07:30 breakfast, but when we went down for it, the whole place was still in darkness and there was no sign of life. 😳

Stayed the Aubergine room. We were delayed checking in but the lady behind the bar was so understanding. The bed and pillows were so comfy. Loved the decor in the bathroom and the shower pressure was great! We arrived to late to eat anything in the evening, but the food that had been smelt great, and breakfast the next morning was lovely. Would stay here again.

Superb service, we had problems with our car breaking down and the staff and owner were extremely helpful and very kind to us.

A lovely pub in a great location. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the room was comfortable, clean and well equipped.

Everything was great.
