Super friendly staff. Nice food. Thoughtfully laid out room with everything we needed.

Can’t think of anything. It’s a very nice small country inn.

"Definitely worth visiting either to stay or just to eat"

8.0

The pub is cosy and warm both in the environment and in the staff. Very friendly and helpful. The food is freshly prepared and homemade. After a chat with the chef, I was made a very tasty ratatouille pasta dish for dinner as there was no vegan option on the day's menu. My partner said the game pie was amazing. Being dog friendly also makes a huge difference to us, too, and makes this place always a good choice for us whilst stopping in the area. This was our second visit and won't be the last.

Very cold stone floor in the bathroom. In the depths of winter, it's not great, but in the summer, I should imagine it's very good

"Definitely stay here again. It's close for family visits & memorial garden plots to be tended"

Location for our needs is ideal. Family run business with customer focussed team. Bed was very comfortable.

We were in the pumpkin room this time & it has a pumpkin like wash hand basin which is very impracticable. Its a bowl with mixer taps too low to say fill a kettle & the lever arms are already dipping towards the basin edge as they are fitted too low. I imagine when first installed it looked very attractive, but there is nowhere level with the basin to place hygiene item etc.

"Fabulous location, just a couple issues need addressing."

7.0

Location is outstanding for the Wyre Forest Gruffalo Trail. There is ample parking and you can walk to the forest entrance quite comfortably. The guys there are very friendly, they dealt with the little issues we had.

The food at the venue was disappointing and service was a bit of a car crash, that said this wasn't necessarily to do with the room which this is a review of. The room was originally cold and whilst i understand some people often complain the rooms are too hot, providing electric heaters cannot be a cost-effective way of managing it. Matter for the owners but just seemed a huge outlay given the price of the heaters over turning the radiators up. The shower was lukewarm but again this was probably down to the boilers being turned down
