Stayed here several times now. Always incredibly friendly and hospitable. Food wonderful.

Nice clean room, comfy bed. Nice bathroom. Had a nice feel to the place, would certainly have no hesitation in staying again.

Surprisingly good for the price. The landlord was very friendly and helpful. The food in the evening was fantastic all fresh and tasty. The breakfast was also of good quality. I will not hesitate to stay there again.

Excellent Service

Freshly-decorated, characterful and super-friendly hotel. Family room was enormous and we were delighted after a long afternoon trek to be able to ease aching bones in a bath. Evening menu had plenty of options and everything we ate was delicious and hearty. Huge portions with ingredients locally sourced. Breakfast set us up for the whole day. Overall, a delightful find. This place is great value and highly recommend it. Camping and caravan pitches onsite too.

Beautiful location but pub/hotel currently in state of repair. In fairness, they did call me before my stay to let me know and I also think this was reflected in the excellent price I paid. Shame though as the smell of paint was very strong and there were no carpets on the stairs or in the hallway. On arrival, I had to wait for a waiter to see to me. He just gave me the key and took me to the room. I wasn't told about Wi-Fi or breakfast. So, I went downstairs at around 7am but no-one was about. I went out of a bit and came back at 7.45 but still no-one about so left for a full days filming on the moors with no breakfast. Huge potential to be a cool hotel so would possibly go back once decorating is finished.

Very good, food lovely and the staff very good. Stayed for business, and unfortunately had to leave before breakfast. Hotel arranged for me to have a packed lunch instead, ham & tomato sandwich, crisps, water, x2 chocolate bars and fruit. Very impressed.
