Protea Hotel by Marriott Zambezi River Lodge

Good location

Room door didn’t work, couldn’t lock it, pool was in terrible shape, couldn’t use it; food and service were terrible at dinner. Mosquitos everywhere. Crazy loud noise from across the river. Not hotel’s fault but still impacted the stay.

I got a room with two single beds, which was not nice.

Nun mal ehrlich, weshalb die Zambezi River Lodge so schlecht bewertet wurde, erschließt sich mir nicht. Die Zimmer waren zwar schon etwas älter, aber sehr sauber, mit allem was man braucht ausgestattet und mit Blick auf den Sambezi, inklusive grasender Hippos 🦛 vorm Fenster. Die Anlage selbst ist echt schön, viel Grün, ein Pool, also 👍🏽. Das Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig und ließ keine Wünsche offen. Jetzt die etwas negativere Seite, das Personal war im Rahmen der üblichen angelernten Hotelfreundlichkeit zwar nett, aber eben mehr auch nicht 😢 und…..

….entweder hatten wir Pech oder das Abendessen hat Luft nach oben.
