La Cocoteraie

Reserved a lowest cost, Gardenview room. We got a huge suite overlooking the beach with two full baths. Gorgeous, enormous pool with swim up open air bar. Open air lobby and dining room. Terrific location bordering the marina with lots of restaurants within easy walking distance. Breakfast is included. After a minor traffic mishap, the wonderful hotel desk people handled everything, including filling out the legal forms and negotiating with the other party. One of the very best places to stay in the Caribbean.

Lovely hotel, well situated near the Saint François marina's bars and restaurants. We oh stated the one night but found the place very pleasant. The pool is beautiful and they have a small private beach. It's only a short walk away from bars and restaurants in Saint François and a short drive from the popular beaches of Guadeloupe. Our suite was spacious with a bedroom and ensuite bathroom. There was a separate shower room, lounge and balcony.

I realy enjoyed it, but still, it's too bad they don't have room service and restaurant. Any way, there are plenty around

We visited in June, which is out of season. The accommodations were very nice. The rooms were clean and the pool was quite unique. The beach was small, but not many people. We would recommend it if you wanted to partake in the night life. If not, head to Basse Terre which has nicer beaches and more adventurous outdoor activities. San Francios is touristy if that is your pleasure.

A lovely resort! At least a 45-minute drive from the airport and you'll want a rental car unless you want to pay very high cab rates to get there and about. Only surprise -- internet access is wifi only -- no computer -- but I made do w iTouch. VG on site restaurant and lots of others in easy walking distance. The eastern cape is only 12-minute drive, and the access road is wide enough for safe running Some great birds right on site -- including hummingbirds and kingbirds. Pleasant staff -- somewhat English limited, but we managed just fine. Great pool, totally underused. The beach you immediately see isn't theirs, but theirs though smaller is more quiet.
