Very clean facility, nice room.

I spend much of the year travelling, both in the UK and abroad; always without incident. I cannot, however, think of a time in the past 25 years when I have been spoken down to or disrespected as a client as acutely as happened at this hotel over a matter so laughable it doesn't even merit comment. Horrible experience and treatment by petty, paternalistic and patronising owners.

Easy to find. On street parking available. Quirky decor. Atmosphere. Absolutely loved the non-digital telephone on the wall in the hall.

It’s not that we didn’t like anything - all was well. It’s just that good isn’t great. The wardrobe doors wouldn’t shut, and nobody cleaned the cups in the room after day one.

This was excellent accommodation at a reasonable price. The house is lovely and the view from my room green and peaceful. The hosts were helpful but not intrusive. The breakfast in a basket is a genius idea.
