They have closed down and not bothered to tell anyone. Myself annd another couple had booked to stay here for the weekend for my daughter’s wedding that was close by a year ago. When we arrived it’s closed down

Hotel has closed down and not notified guests until we arrived

The hotel was booked for two nights in advance as I was going to my brothers wedding. We turned up and the pub was shut, we had been given no warning.

No one at premisis to check in with left standing outside for nearly 2 hours hoping someone would turn up. Place was in complete darkness . Local told me they were closed Monday's. Couldnt go to gig had to go home paid 30 pounds for ticket for gig and paid for taxis to the hotel totally 42 pounds. Not happy

Beautiful pub and warm on a cold Sunday. Food sadly 2 dinners cold on arrival however they were immediately re cooked however it meant we didn’t eat together. Food was good once we had it. The one aspect that I don’t think is acceptable is the resident dog is loose and while a very delightful Labrador I connect to it drooling and begging at the table

Had booked to go for lunch on New Year’s Day. Had to wait some time to be acknowledged on arrival as the bar was busy with customers and dogs. Poor service when ordering food. In the end, went and paid and left before ordering desert as there were not enough staff and we were not being served adequately.

Beautiful setting for a winter Sunday roast, a lovely little authentic cosy pub. The food was a very good portion and of excellent quality. Service was also good. Overall, this was a very good experience and would recommend to anyone in the area for a visit.

Had a really lovely 2 night stay at the Cherry Tree. Our room was cosy, very well appointed and comfortable. The included breakfast was lovely, good choices and great coffee. The staff were lovely.

I cannot overstate how amazing our experience was at the Cherry Tree Inn. We went for a special family meal for 10 and from making the booking Natalie and her team were incredible. Louise was so attentive, anticipating everything we might need as the evening went on. She was so thoughtful and made the experience truly special. The food was brilliant, absolutely delicious and everyone enjoyed it. Thank you for making this family celebration so special and memorable. We can’t wait to come back again!
