Golden Star Beach Hotel

Affordable place to stay if you’re stopping over in Negombo. Staff were nice and it’s right on the beach

Whenever we asked for something, it took a while for us to get it and we had to ask multiple times. For example, we needed a pool towel and it took about 5 minutes and multiple nudges for them to bring us them. The breakfast food was only covered by tissue and so because of the heat, the flies were going onto the food which was not a great experience for breakfast.

The hotel was in a nice location right beside the main street and the beach. The pool and outdoor area was very nice. The breakfast was decent. Good vaue for money.

Staff were slow to check us in. There was a lot of mosquitos in our room and we asked for something to keep the mosquitos away twice and we were told that it would be dropped down to our room but it never came.

Das Personal war Spitze die Lage ebenso DasHotel ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen aber trotzdem sehr zu empfehlen. Die Lage zum Flughafen sehr gut ca 12min mit Taxi oder Tuk Tuk

Breakfast was good. Pool was lovely. Close to the beach.

We checked in very late and we're very tired and it seemed like we weren't expected. The car we ordered through the hotel for pickup at the airport never came.

Inexperienced staff Dining room needs updating Water leaking on the balcony when it rains Breakfast is moderate. Toast were cold Overall the whole place needs a renovation

The staff were very helpful and friendly, especially Anu The breakfast was good. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. The pool was very nice.

They didn’t provide a car and driver at the airport, as arranged. The room provided wasn’t suited to four people and we had to wait while another room was quickly made up for us. It wasn’t a particularly clean room and the bathroom was quite old.

Excellent and reliable airport transport, which was very well organized and on time, something we especially appreciated as this varied during our stay in Sri Lanka. The room was spacious and comfortable for a family of four and very good value for the price. Great location close to the beach for a final swim in the ocean, with several restaurants both along the beach and on the street right in front of the hotel.

The shower felt a bit worn and rusty and could use some refreshing, and we noticed some dirt in the corners
