Moonrise Hotel

Overall good stay. The noise from both inside guests and outside of hotel was a bit much. Had some issues with the toilet running and slow sink draining. Staff were all friendly. Lost use of elevators for about 10 hours due to a car accident, so that was unfortunate being on the 5th floor, but no fault of hotel. Rooftop bar is a popular hangout for locals it seems.

Great atmosphere

The elevators were out and the staff was not accommodating about it at all. Had a lot of guests staying for a wedding and a few were older and were not able to climb 6 flights of stairs to their rooms and ended up sleeping in the lobby on chairs. I asked for extra linens (pillow and blanket) and was rudely told they did not have a key to the linens. The thermostat in our suite didn’t work so it was very cold all night long.

I loved staying at Moonrise because of how convenient it was for me. I think Delmar Loop is such a cool place filled with great dining and cool concert venues. However, I wasn’t a fan of how little I saw housekeeping. Most other hotels I’ve stayed at offer housekeeping every two days, Moonrise only offered it every three days and I thought it was kind of silly that my trip would essentially be over before I saw them. Besides that one gripe, how close it was to the Pageant was a dream and the hotel itself is such a cool vibe and fun aesthetic. Staff was nice and friendly. The hotel is pet friendly! Just expect to run out of trash space by the time your trip is over.

Nice stay but price was kinda high for the condition of the room

AC at the front desk was great! I can during a rooftop event on Wednesday and another event on Friday that felt like I was in college again. The noise was significant and enough to make me wish I booked elsewhere. I went to the desk and they gave me ear plugs that helped. Ironically, they were on the phone with another customer complaining about the noise. There was also a noisy dog on my hallway that wouldn’t stop barking. It was not a great visit… On the bright side, my room was clean, the employees were kind (shoutout to Dylan and AC), and the location was what I needed for my business trip.

The hotel has a great ambiance with lots of fun retro decor throughout the hotel and in the room. Bed was comfortable. There was free parking close to the hotel. Hotel was very close to STL zoo. Will stay here again when going to zoo.

The staff is incredible. Everyone we talked to was delighted to help us have the best stay possible. Rooms were clean, good HVAC, good hot water in the shower, quality mattress. Fun atmosphere and amazing walkable diverse neighborhood. Rooftop is fun, too. Just don't expect a cheap tab!
