Voyageur Inn and Conference Center

The staff at the front we rude I requested to be contacted by staff and have not yet. We overheard the staff making racial comments about us directly to another guest completely unacceptable and unprofessional would appreciate a call about this and my money returned thank you! If not I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau.

Lobby, staff, bed was comfortable. Basically a thick foam pad over a mattress. Air conditioning worked

Smell of room was a cloying air freshener scent, with musty undertone. Carpet very thin and seemed extremely old. Curtains were partially falling off, and you could see into the room from the outside unless you have the blackout curtains closed. The intermediary curtains did nothing for privacy.stained towel in bathroom

Let's be honest, this is an older property. But it's clean, the staff were very friendly and overall a nice place when all I needed was a bed to sleep in. But it could use some upgrades. I didn't see any working vending machines. The monitor I'm using right now is bigger than the TV in my room. So if you're looking for a bed to sleep in, this is great. If you expect room service, mints on the pillow, etc.... not your place.

Breakfast is included & great, the staff are all super friendly & accommodating. Elevator has tendency to breakdown, & hallways are hot on the hotter days but does not stop me from staying as I feel safe. Rooms are large & have places to store your clothes which newer hotels in area are lacking.

This hotel could be a real gem if someone had the money to do just a few updates. The carpet, i'm guessing, is the original from 1972 and it smells like it. Walking down the hallway to the elevator & inside the elevator was a combination stench of mold, urine, and feet. There was no ventilation to help take any of the humidity out of the area. The rooms are big with a fridge & microwave. Again, take the old carpet out & replace with vinyl. The air conditioner worked great & the room itself did not have the same smell. The beds & pillows could also be updated. The attached restaurant is nice, but once again, replace the old nasty carpet and you would have a great old-time supper club atmosphere.

Very nice facility! Everything you could possibly want! Would stay there again.
