I stayed at this property last week as part of a long week of career fair travel. Check in was fast and I enjoyed the extra effort this property provided to have both points and a breakfast voucher provided. With so many other hotels in the area offering a complementary breakfast to all guests it was nice to see as an Ambassador Elite the extra acknowledgment was there. Unfortunately, the stay went downhill as soon as I saw the actual room I was blocked. It was filthy. It was clear this property has no quality control standards whatsoever. After nearly 15-20 minutes on hold I was provided a different room but not until after I had to remind them that my bed type is guaranteed. Even just a few minutes to walk through each room when you have an elite guest staying on property would mean a lot and prevent this situation from occurring . In the morning I met my colleague in his room and despite booking through a third party he somehow was upgraded to a junior suite of sorts. The property is just sloppy in every way. No service recovery was provided and when I checked out, they didn’t seem surprised at all about the poor quality of service. I think what is most aggravating to me is this is the first hotel I’ve ever seen in the States that doesn’t guarantee their rooms to be available until 5 PM not the 3 PM or 4 PM standard of other hotels. That would be fine if they are actually using this additional time for cleaning. But that’s clearly not the case. Whoever owns this place should be ashamed. You have many choices in the Lafayette area when going to Purdue. Run far away from this one.
