Le Cameleon Puerto Viejo

This was our favorite place to stay. There is nothing that I would change. Le CAMÉLÉON is by far, The most desirable spot in this part of Costa Rica.

The staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodated any requests. The hotel was comfortable and clean with nice beach, pool and dining areas. We would stay again.

I loved the room and the service. All of the front desk people were extremely nice and helpful. I even had an issue due to using my passport as collateral to rent a moped and the shop closed early on Sundays (which I wasn't aware of). We were dud to leave early Monday morning and they weee able to get ahold of the rental shop and help me get my passport. We really enjoyed our stay at Le Cameleon.

Cute rooms, great staff! Only improvement would be a more varied daily breakfast. Not only was the menu the same in buffet, but out of many items.

Hotel could use some repairs. The restaurant was very good and great ambience. Breakfast was included, which was a nice treat every day.

Beautiful place

Great for couples and families

First the room key pad didn’t work and had to be replace, got lock out of the room 3 times. Second the day it rain we got water licking from the roof in to the bed and another lick in to the closet area. Room description was incorrect it was not ocean front it was ocean side. There only 4 rooms with the same description and there’s no warranty you get the ocean front rooms. I was never offer any VIP benefits or advice on room description and after all the problem I had with the room never got offer any solution or compensation for the inconvenience and the last night getting rain on. Bathroom condition where horrible shower heat almost fall apart. Spoke to manager and the only think he offer it’s next Time send me a message and I give you the ocean front room and that the room didn’t say ocen view. However there are no rooms with ocean view description to make reservation on.

A beautiful boutique hotel nestled in jungle canopy, with an elegant beach side restaurant and nice pool and hot tub, but which could definitely stand some upkeep and repairs, e.g. to its loose bathroom fixtures, paint, etc. The service across the board was exceptional. And we got to see an aerial dance show at sunset on the hotel's beach included in our stay. Would return.

The staff was great and the food was delicious! My issue is that i believe this place could be a lot better. The areas around the pool/ beach area were not as clean. Lots of leaves everywhere. The beds/cabanas were not so clean. Walkways to the rooms did not have great lighting at night and the path was slippery when wet due to rain. The a/c in our room was very noisy. The location is perfect.
