Hôtel Richemond

This is by far the best place to stay in Chamonix if yoy are looking for the authentic french hotel.experience. the staff arr so friendly, the atmoaphere is fab, the hotel may feel like you have stepped back in time, but its spotless, well run and nothung is too.much effort. Its just off the main pedestrian route, close to the bus station and ealkable to everything to need in Chamonix. Thanks again for a wonderful stay.

Everything was great except finding the parking and the hotel proved difficult.

A great find. Lovely old property with great rooms and amazing views. Everyone who works at this hotel is very personable.

Utterly disgusting. Mould round bath. Bathroom was 40 years old. Shower was an extension on the taps. Room was about 15 Ft Square and basic. This is not an hotel, it's a bed and breakfast guest house. They don't have staff. It's deserted. Don't know where the room in the photo is, but we didn't see it.

We spent a week in February for ski holiday and our stay at the hotel was top expereince! We travel a lot for work and stayed in many hotels, but nothing like this. Hotel has traditional French charm and is conveniently located in the very city center on the pedestrian street, the bus station for ski buses is located just at the back of the hotel. Room was renovated and modern, very clean and with amazing view to Mont Blanc. Breakfast was tasty and fresh. But the most important advantage of the hotel - owners and staff are extremely hospitable and joyful and we felt like real guests, not just as customers. All this made our stay unforgettable, so no doubt at our next visit we will stay again there.

Exactly what we were hoping for- a traditional French family run hotel in a perfect location for bus stops, bars/restaurants and local attractions. The buffet breakfast was great and the rooms were clean, beds very comfortable. The hotel staff were lovely, so friendly and helpful which made our stay extra special. I would definitely recommend.

Unbeatable value. The hotel is in the pedestrian district in chamonix centre. Close to both grand montet lift and an up high walk to brevent. The bus to all other areas stops directly behind the hotel. The rooms are dated but we loved the traditional French feel. We had a Mont Blanc view which was great. The family who run it are excellent, helpful and friendly. I’ve stayed here before and will stay again. You really cannot beat this for location, price and that traditional French feeling.

This is a special property not to be missed. Family owned and run over generations. They truly make you feel like you’re at home. Would definitely stay there again.

Nice people, Great view, Well maintained old building, lots of charm. Close to everything. Very happy with our stay. Wish them the best.
