Stayed here for one night only, the lady on reception was very helpful, showing me where to get the bus to Les Houches and giving me a card allowing me free bus travel. The room was a little dated but clean and comfortable

Old-style hotel. Welcoming and friendly. Simple and nice.

An Agatha Christi / Sherlock Holmes era hotel and that’s the main charm. It’s an old property showing age, but the friendly owners (most likely) or staff more than makes for it. The hosts patiently and most helpfully went through Facilities at the hotel and in Chamonix. They know the town like old residents and were happy to share their knowledge. I love hotels with a ambience and personality and this has one …. the hotel is gracefully aging. Decent breakfast. Wala

Bottom-line: Do not stay here. There are too many other better choices all around this area. No a/c, rooms are hot with windows closed and there’s so much noise from the street with the windows open that you cannot sleep until past 3am. Building is very old and run down and in bad need of repair.

Front desk staff are absolutely wonderful, helpful, cheerful and knowledgeable. This hotel is one I would return to!

A lovely historic hotel in the centre of Chamonix. Hotel staff are warm, kind and very helpful.

Best location in Chamonix - centrally located for all the bus lines to the lifts. Closest to restaurants, groceries, and shopping.

Easy to check in room great and central to everything

The hotel is central in Chamonix so it’s easy to access the shops, restaurants and town in general. It has clearly been there a long time so feels very much part of the establishment.
