Roosevelt Inn & Suites Saratoga Springs

I liked the vintage look to the place, and private balcony/porch areas were neat. But i was worried stuff would fall apart, bc it looked older and worn out.

The top of the headboard had a thick layer of dust. Checking the beds before we even decided to bring our things inside the room revealed stains on every layer of bedding, on the corners of the bed and the mattress had very visible stains. All in different colors and textures! Upon further inspection there was black specks of some debris on the inside lip of the mattress as well. Looked like the bed hadn’t been flipped or cleaned in weeks. The room also smelled strongly of mildew and chemicals. The mirrors were dirty in the bathroom as well as the surfaces on the big mirrors in the main room of the suite. We booked the king suite and it was definitely not “sweet” We spoke with a front desk person about our issues and he seemed not phased at all - likely because he knew he wouldn’t be able to give us a refund. We didn’t even sleep in this room because the bed was so disgusting. We were only going to stay for one night so we can go to the avril lavigne concert at SPEC, we ended up fleeing the hotel and absolutely flabbergasted on what to do. We never brought our luggage in the room either. Ended up driving down the road to make a booking at Hometown suites by Hilton and thankfully we were fortunate enough to be able to afford it. Unfortunately don’t believe we will be getting a refund from this but writing this to warn anyone not to book here if you’re looking to save money - unless you want to sanitize and bring your own bedding maybe. Im not someone who would normally opt to eat the cost of a hotel room and would try to stick it out but i was truly disgusted and surprised they hadnt even tried to freshen up the bed before their guests arrive. This huge inn only had 2-3 guests besides us in its halls at the time we checked in and after seeing the room i was not surprised. Its quite unfortunate because i would have been interested in staying in the place if it were clean. It looks like it was once well taken care of.

Dresser drawers would not close. Opened on own as soon as you tried to close them.
