Secret Cliff Resort Phuket

Love this hotel, I have stayed here many times, its quiet and relaxing, and its just a few minutes from the heart of Patong.

Amazing and friendly staff..beautiful view from rooms and pool deck. Needs more shuttles from the main town back to resort..

This was our second visit to this resort & we have left very disappointed. The room was somewhat clean but in need of a lot of maintenance. The shower heads need replacing, out of the 9 nights we stayed we only had internet for two days. There was a few lights not working & the phone in our room didn’t work for days. We asked the staff many times to please fix the internet & phone issues & had to call up to 4-5 times one night to get anything done. I ended up having to walk to reception to demand something to be done & asked to order room service whilst I was present. The lady behind the desk said to go back to my room & wait for the phone to be fixed. By this time room service for the pizza restaurant was over & there was little choice for dinner. The pool which is what lead us to rebook this place was never cleaned during our stay. My boyfriend got an ear infection & I don’t think the pump was ever turned on. After three days into our stay I started to get a sore eye which lead to conjunctivitis. I Ended up going to Phuket International Emergency Hospital, my Dr came to the conclusion that I caught this from the pool. I have now flown home to find I have a bacterial ulcer on my left eyeball. This trip has now cost me more in medical bills than what I actually spent on leisurely items & adventures. Don’t get me wrong. The restaurant staff are amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals there especially with that killer view. We just won’t be staying here again.

Staff very rude on the reception desk. Food very average, pizza terrible. Drinks pricey.

The rooms were clean and kept up to standard. My room was super hot. Had problems with the aircon as it wouldn’t go below 21°, told staff and they said it was fine but didn’t work. Pool was nice but small for such a big place with heaps of guest. Meals and drinks were a lot more expensive then down town. Overall it was a beautiful place to stay, just expensive.

The view and food and staff were great. We had some issues with the facility. The 100 level room that we stayed in was directly below the dinning area so we were woken at 5:30am each morning with breakfast settup and up till 10pm with music in the evenings. The ac barely worked, poor plumbing, and there was some critter scurying around above us at night. Not things one would expect from a 4 star hotel. If you get a room here request a garden view and you will probably have a much better experience.

The hotel staff was very welcoming but as soon as we walked into the room, there was a very strong musty smell and the overall decor appeared outdated. It just went downhill from there. The bathroom was also very outdated with the toilet not flushing half the time, the faucet spraying water out of the sink and the shower head threatening to fall off the wall. Without a proper shower curtain/ barrier, half the water ended up on our bathroom floor. The next day we found termites, bugs, spiders, dead cicadas in our room, all over our balcony and worst of all on our bed. Futhermore, the buffet breakfast was subpar with most items lacking flavor. The only good thing was the view from the restaurant. We were willing to sacrifice location thinking the hotel amentities would make up for it but the hotel was such a disappointment. We would never stay here again and would recommend against anyone else staying here until they update their facilities.

Nice quiet location between busy Patong and Karon. The rooms are spacious but are in need of maintenance and updating. The pool is small and needs a lot of repair. Many broken and missing tiles. Food is good, but slow service. Wifi is patchy throughout the property. Overall a great location but is a little overrated for the money.

We stayed at this hotel for years ago and we were totally disappointed by our recent stay as the hotel is completely rundown. We stayed for three weeks but the hotel is dedicated to a transient crowd. It is not a long stay property and while we had a good stay for years ago we would not go back.

Room is very outdated. Got almost no Wifi in the room. Very low water pressure for shower every day. Hotel location is remote, nothing next to it. Had to take a taxi to nearby beach everyday with min 250-300 Thai Baht spending
