The brekfast was excellent and had a good choice. The location was lovely and peaceful and the cats were amazing !!

The cats were really nice and the private garden and woodlands access was really impressive

I left the first night because I couldn't sleep. It was windy and a door, which wasn't in my room, kept slamming with the wind all night. If I'd brought earplugs I might have stayed. The thing that bothered me the most though is that I Ieft a message on here to explain why I left but the owner never messaged back. Even if they don't read their messages, they could have rang when a guest leaves in the middle of the night.. Other minor detail but toilet and shower are actually outside of the room. They are private but you have to enter the public hall to access them, which isn't ideal but it's acceptable

I would have liked a bedside lamp.. And I more interesting veggie breakfast option :) but the host was lovely.

Loved the location, so peaceful and pretty. Loved the host, Eileen was friendly helpful and such an interesting well travelled person. Loved the cats even though we only met 4 out of 5 of them.

Didn't like leaving we wanted to stay longer.

Excellent breakfast, location not as specified by booking.com. We booked this to go to Seaton Delval which was said to be 18 miles from Thornley House but turned out to be 42miles.

Breakfast was lovely and very tasty. Eileen has a number of beautiful cats who share her home. We like cats and they didn’t bother us, they’re very well mannered and friendly without being fussy. The house is beautiful and very clean. Beds comfy and beautiful linen. The grounds are immaculately kept and there was even a “safari” which we did on the morning we left.

There was nothing to dislike.
