The Bell

The room heating went off during the night. It was not easily apparent how to get hot shower working. I figured it out eventually.

Stayed here for the third time a few days ago. Nice friendly welcome. Clean tidy rooms with comfortable bed, en suite shower facilities, complimentary tea/coffee/biscuits and small TV on the wall. Nicely cooked full English breakfast and endless tea/coffee/juice. Will definitely stay again. Recommend it

Spent two nights here on mini break exploring the area. Most aspects of the stay were very good but there were no frills. Limited display of cold breakfast items, no shampoo, shower gel or tissues etc. Meals were good pub food but poor service on one occasion. Overall though, a pleasant stay and would return if in the area.

Friendly staff, comfy room, good breakfast and would use again if ever in the area. Would recommend..

easy to find clean and comfortable although a little noisy with traffic ideal for a couple of nights

We were not made aware that the hotel would be closed during the day and could not contact the owner in order to gain access as they did not answer the phone. The lady in the shop over the road, luckily knew the owner and rang her for us. The bed was rather hard and uncomfortable. The shower went from warm to scaldingly hot without warning. The towels were miniscule and did not wrap round. There was only an hours window for breakfast (8.00 - 9.00am). But the pub was friendly and welcoming and we had a good game of darts.

Staff very helpful and helpful. A very interesting village but flooding restricted out touring around.
