The Bell

We stayed for two nights. The restaurant, service and food was very good. The decor and furnishings were good quality and clean throughout, but the bedroom disappointed us because there was no storage place for our clothes etc! No wardrobe, cupboards or draws. However, overall we enjoyed our stay because the staff were friendly and helpful (under the difficult Covid conditions) and the meals were excellent.

Very friendly and helpful

Described as a restaurant with rooms, and at a very reasonable price including breakfast. We were unnecessarily anxious about it being any good. This is a modern village pub, serving a range of good food with friendly willing and happy staff. Bedroom and breakfasts, were very good, as was dinner, and bar bill all at very affordable prices. The only thing to criticize is that by priceing their services so low, they are under selling themselves. I know it's good to exceed customer expectations but price is also often a guide as to quality. We will definitely be trying to go back, for several nights next time. Thank you.

In these difficult times we were made very welcome. Given a key to the back entrance so we did not have to go into the Pub/ Resturant area. Room well decorated and up to date. Beds comfortable to lie on and sleep in. We ordered a take away from there menu and food / meal was very good, with service up to our room. Faults :- shower very hard to regulate to a constant temperature. :- double glazed units in our room had blown and were showing condensation inbetween glass panels. Outside :- Plenty of parking. :- Lovely well stocked post office and general stores just across road which serves the village community. Would we go there again - most definately yes.

We stayed for 2 nights. The room was perfect, food outstanding and the staff friendly and very helpful. We visited during the floods which effected the area, they were most helpful giving us alternative routes. Would definitely stay again.

Poor real ale but pie was ok
