Rien , tout était parfait

Location very good. Surrounded by lovely garden and very quiet. Beds good plenty of tea &coffee & milk. A quirkier hotel with marvellous art works.

Towels could do with being replaced

There was parking on site. Near a train station, 20 minute walk. 10 minute drive to metro centre. Friendly staff - and Lily the cat was also wonderful. Tea and coffee making facilities were good, with the option of fresh milk if preferred and biscuits were a nice touch. Would also be good if sweeteners were also available alongside the sugar. Room was very spacious, and also the bathroom. Comfortable bed. Dressing table and wardrobe also in the room. Access to the house was easy.

Shower not great - the head kept falling down and the pressure dropped when the water temperature got turned down. It took a while for water to heat up. Hairs in drawers - we don’t tend to use them but something we noticed. No privacy in the bathroom, our window was facing directly out to the front so had the curtains shut. Room very hot, we turned the valves on radiators off and opened windows but still didn’t fully cool down. Requested to check in at 14:00 and this got accepted, we arrived to the property at 14:30 due to traffic and wasn’t able to check in. Didn’t really bother us in the end because we went for a stroll around the area. Lots of extension leads plugged into extension leads which is a safely hazed. No plugs at side of bed to charge phone but wasn’t the end of the world. We could hear other people quite loudly in their rooms which disturbed sleep.

It was tucked away in a nice quiet area, the house was set in a lovely background with parking and very well kept, David was a lovely host, told us what’s available in the area, the room and bathroom was clean and tidy, ideal location away from a noisy city centre, there is an Italian 5 minutes up the road and a small quaint little pub 10 minute walk away, which were very friendly, would definitely stay here again.

It was an olde worlde property with quirky retro decor- room and bathroom was spacious . Set in lovely grounds. Tea and coffee provided.

I was travelling with my son so four posted was an issue. No bar or restaurant but aware before travel
