"Do not try it"

2.0

In general it was a bad experience. We arrived late in the night (past midnight) and had arraanged to have the hotel to pick us up. But nobody was there. Then I called the hotel and asked a status of the driver and I was told he was there - I got the number for the driver and tried to call him - nobody picked up. I called the hotel again, and not got the story that he was stuck in traffic (there is little traffic at this time). All in all it ended up in we had to charter a taxi to get driven there. During check in the clerk tried to convince us that we only had booked 1 room and not 2 as both the booking and the payment slip which I had shown him clearly showed. The room had a "funny" smell of urin and the airconditioning was so laud that to sleep you had to turn it off. Breakfast was nowhere near international standard nor reflecting the price of the stay. After 20 hours of travelling, 5 hours sleep my breakfast consisted of 2 boiled eggs. If the price had been 1/3 of what was paid, there would be a balance between price and quality.

"Very impressed"

10.0

We booked the Saptagiri hotel for a 16 hour stopover in between flights from Kathmandu to London. Although our flight into Delhi was four and a half hours late, the hotel transport was there, with our name plackard, to take us to the Saptagiri, which was conveniently only a 10 minute taxi ride from the airport. Booking in was very efficient, as we were on their system. The room was much better than we had expected. It was clean and very well maintained. Bed was comfortable and showere and bathroom excellent. There should have been tea/coffee making facilities in the room, but when explaining their absence to Reception, these were provided in less than 5 minutes. Excellent! Room service was also available and very quick and efficient. I would recommend the Saptigiri to anyone looking for a one or two night stopover, or even longer, although the surrounding area was not brilliant, it is right on the main route into the airport. Many thanks to the Saptigiri staff for making our stopover so pleasant. I would certainly recommend the Saptagiri to anyone and would most certainly use it again if I wish to stay in Delhi in the future. Just one note, if you require an early morning wak up call, set your own alarm!! Thank you for a very pleasant stay.

"day tour in India - with souvenir shops..."

8.0

The hotel provides a good taxi service for day tours in Delhi - good if you just have a couple of hours or a day changeover between two flights. Unfortunately the driver brings you also to a huge shopping place for handcrafts etc. where staff puts a lot of pressure on you not to leave with empty hands...

"Airport hotel good only for tranzit"

6.0

Instead of waiting 11 hours in tranzit we decided to book 1 night at Saptagiri near to the airport and transfer. It was close to airport, clean hotel, good AC, free WiFi but wasn't working :( and friendly staff. Unfortunalelly they forgot to wait at the airport so we called them and they showed up in 15 minutes. No windows in our room and noise overnight on the hallway. The only advantage was to be close to Indira Ghandi airport (about 10 minutes). Advice for others not to leave lugages in airport tranzit hoping to collect them at final destination; they will call you back at the airport to pick up the lugage.

"Ideal for a stopover, not for too long..."

8.0

I initially booked in for a night as I had an early morning flight the following morning. This was as soon as the volcanic ash cloud hit and so when I got to the airport, I was not flying anywhere. Better the Devil you know, I returned to here for five days (before heading to Goa). Apart from the A/C breaking down and being put in a room with no windows whilst this fixed, then when I moved back to the original room, my room being let with me in it (one o'clock in the morning, bell boy unlocks the door and starts wandering in with with a couple, I'm in bed, I ask them if they mind, they make a hasty retreat!) The restaurant is good and the wi-fi is fast. It is too far away to be a base for visiting Delhi, but ideal and comfortable for a stopover.

"Good for overnight transfers..."

8.0

I needed a hotel close to Delhi airport as I had an early flight out to Europe the follow morning. Hotel Saptagiri was ideal. Even though its right next to a motorway overpass and in a slightly dodgy looking area, the hotel itself was fine. The rooms were clean and modern (this can be hard to find in India!!), with a flat screen television, the room was clean and very tidy. Room service meals were ok, and the surprising thing was that although its right next to the motorway, I hardly heard any traffic. I wouldn't stay at this hotel if I was touring Delhi, mainly due to the area, but as a hotel to stay in if you have an overnight transfer, its fine. Cost from the airport to the hotel was 400 rupees. Although the hotel is close enough for a Tuc-Tuc if you want a cheaper ride.

"Great for airport!"

8.0

We wanted a hotel near the airport - and that's what we got. We arrived 3 hours late, but the requested transfer was still waiting for us. Room was clean and reasonably well appointed. Breakfast wasn't great and the coffee was undrinkable. All the staff were helpful and pleasant and overall it was exactly what we wanted - a convenient hotel for a quick overnight stay before a transfer flight. But beware - it's located right next to a busy freeway so it's a bit noisy!

"Very pleased with Hotel Saptagiri"

10.0

I used Trip Advisor to choose this hotel. This hotel had just about all good reviews and some of the other hotels near the airport had exceptionally scary ones. The price was good and the quality was exceptional, especially for the price. No street noise, clean room, hot and cold water in shower, working lights and power sockets, great room service and very nice breakfast buffet. I had no complaints at all and was very satisfied with my stay. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a good night's sleep very nearby the international airport.

"Decent airport hotel for a short overnight layover."

8.0

Overall convenient location with regard to airport. Rooms were clean and reasonable. Wireless was good. Toiletries provided were basic but room was reasonably well furnished and bed was comfortable. Service was efficient. Summary, adequate for a layover, given location and everything else not really a place to stay if you were planning to stay a few days.
