"A lovely stay"

We had a lovely time and a really delightful breakfast outside in the morning. Not only that, I left some belongings in the room and the staff called me up to arranger postage. Great service!

Pros: - Good location, very close to Castle Drogo/Exeter town centre. - Clean room. - Cafe next door is handy for accessing breakfast. Cons: - Uncomfortable, extremely small double bed. - Uncomfortable, old and flat pillows. - Room structure is quite impractical and should be reconsidered i.e. bureau is in poor condition with impractical chair placed in front and bureau is blocking full use of wardrobe. - Light in bathroom and on one of the bedside tables needs replacing, as very dull and not bright. - Wifi connection is unuseable, possibly due to the old age of the building, but we couldn't connect during our entire stay. - Confusing information provided at check in. We were told strongly we had to check out at 10.00am, but on Expedia and information on the back of the door states 10.30am. - Breakfast options very limited if you have purchased as part of your stay. - Breakfast (scrambled eggs on toast for me) was bland, no seasoning and not a lot of scrambled egg. Coffee was not the best, I would have preferred the option of having a cappuccino, but this is an additional cost. - It would appear that you are not prioritised when you are a guest at the B&B for breakfast, you just wait behind the extensive line of people, which can be a considerable wait. Unfortunately while the building is pretty on the outside and the location is good, we are relieved that we did not pay full price for this room.

"Lovely family run stop over"

10.0

Had a lovely stay at the Woodleigh Coach House. This was a great find in a really convenient location. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We had a deluxe double and the room was clean, comfortable with a lovely vaulted ceiling with a big aeched window which made the room very light and airy. The room had a good supply of tea and coffee and towels and shower gel were provided. The shower was not as powerful as I would have liked but it was perfectly useable and in the great scheme of things a very minor point that in no way detracted from our enjoyment. There is a cafe attached which served an excellent breakfast. There are a number of locals who clearly regularly eat there which provides testimony to the quality (the cafe is very popular and gets busy but as guests we had a reserved table) . We also enjoyed a lovely cream tea with probably the biggest scone I have ever seen! My only disappointment is that when we checked out the owners were extremely busy dealing with a very full cafe which meant we couldnt say goodbye and thank you. We would certainly visit again and have no hesitation recommending a stay here.

Excellent stay, lovely people. If I had to be picky, I would say the coffee could have been better at breakfast. But that is just being picky. I'm sure we will be back. With the windows open, you could hear the traffic on the A30, but that is a small price to pay for being so conviniently located to it.

Very convenient location adjacent A30 - stunning views from top floor family room- only downside was a long haul up stairs for our elderly dog no probs for humans. Great Breakfast in the Cafe.

There check out it is very very bad, every hotel or B&B allowed their customers to stay till 12 noon. But in the Coach they'll force you to check out 10 am in which is not in your agreement with them at initial stage.
