Hotel Triada

there were certain small areas that let the Triada down but I am not going to dwell on them as the friendly, attentive staff moe than made up for any minor foibles, the rooms were basic but comfortable and general appearance was good, it reminded me of a new house that needed to have the wrinkles ironed our before becoming a home. The food was good and breakfast was plentiful and unhurried, due to a late flight we did not checkin till nearly midnight, a simple call ahead to forewarn the hotel was reassuring and upon arrival nothing was too much trouble for the friendly helpful staff and all members of staff seemed to have a cheery disposition, would definately return in the future.

The Hotel was a good place. Front desk staff was a bit gruff, but competent. The restaurant was average although we were always the only folks there, which made us wonder why. Location was relatively good and convenient to downtown as well as the airport. Not a 4 star hotel by our standards, but definitely would stay again for the price. More like a 2.5 - 3 star hotel.

The room is o.k. The bathroom is in terrible condition. The big advantage is that it is close to the airport. The hotel is not centerally located.

great hotel with exceptionally helpful staff who were there to greet us with a very speedy check-in when we arrived in the middle of the night! The reception staff organised our hire car to be delivered to the door, brilliant service. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone arriving in Sofia for a short stay or needing to be near the airport. Of special mention would be the staff who very kindly organised the posting home of our camera which we left in the room! Thank you so much for that special service from lovely Bulgarian people.

Very good hotel, I would easily pay the double amount of money. We had a rental car that we returned at the airport, it took us 5 minutes to get there. Very nice and clean. We fully recommend this.

This is excellent lodging for the money. It is not within walking distance of the center but is o.k. if one has a rental car. Note that the bargain rates do not include the breakfast, which is passable by nothing to write home about. The staff are friendly, reasonably fluent in English and helpful.

A very tidy hotel with friendly service in a quiet location fairly close to the city centre.

This hotel appears to be the closest Expedia hotel to the Sofia airport, which is why I chose it. It's important to note, however, that it's in a residential/commercial area a fair distance from the airport. Unlike, say, Vienna or London, Sofia does not appear to have hotels right at the airport. You have to take a cab to the airport; no airport shuttle. Anyway, my room here was quite clean. The hotel also had a free guest use Internet terminal. The clerk at the front desk spoke English well (not something one can take for granted in Bulgaria). The one negative is the hotel's location. You don't seem to be near any tourist attractions or restaurants that I could find. I basically just stayed in the hotel.
