It’s quiet and lovely in winter and the grounds are peaceful

I felt the breakfast was limited especially for a 3 night stay and the menu very small

Centrally located, very nice finishes, lots of activities to do. Beautiful farm with good bird life and very friendly, helpful staff.

Beautiful interiors, amazing breakfast and such lovey staff. We stayed during the terrible floods in Frashoek and the property went above and beyond for us despite the disruption for them - they even opened the padel courts solely for us.

Schönste Unterkunft auf der gesamten Reise. Traumhafter Aussenbereich, nagelneue sehr geschmackvolle Zimmer, alles sehr gepflegt und sauber. Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, tolles sehr hochwertiges Frühstück. Das winetasting war auch toll! Alles war perfekt! Großes Lob, wir kommen wieder!

A truly memorable wine estate experience. Rickety Bridge offers stunning views, excellent wines, and warm hospitality. The tasting was relaxed and informative, and the setting in the Franschhoek Valley is absolutely beautiful. A perfect place to unwind and soak in the charm of the Cape Winelands. A special mention to Leonie, who was incredibly helpful throughout our visit. She patiently answered all our queries and made us feel welcome.

The location, the space and the decor were perfect.

An exceptional stay at Rickety Bridge. The room was simply amazing, the hospitality exceptional and the grounds were lovely. Many thanks to Charles for a brilliant cellar tour and wine tasting, which was fascinating and Charles was incredibly friendly.

Only issue was the toilet being in the bedroom with no separation/privacy

Gorgeous place, I fell in love with the architecture and decor of this place. Everything was so beautifully designed. Stunning place. The staff was exceptional and super friendly and the whole place just brought a calm energy and atmosphere.

Only thing we did not enjoy as much was the complimentary wine tasting. This is best to have before 16:00. We went at 16:15 and they just poured us four different wines at once and we could not even get a water or some food to accompany it and they were covering up all the furniture around us since they were closing at 17:00.

Great staff! I asked for a heater to the room as it was a bit chilly and they brought it. Very nice garden. Great breakfast. Good design in rooms, very clean. The wine is good quality.

Small improvements, they could put small tiki torches/ lamps between main house and the other building as its easy to fall in pitch black even with phone’s lamp althought its just 30meter distance. Also having a first care kit with paracetamol could be a good idea, as I had fever and the hospital is 30 min drive away. Not having dinner as option is to be taken also in notice as all food home deliveries close at 9pm, the Franschhoek city has no restos open after 10pm at least on Monday, just the gastation and a pub
